Position Overview:
They are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to lead commercial roofing projects from pre-construction through final closeout. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This is a client-facing role that requires excellent communication and coordination with field teams, clients, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of assigned roofing projects, including budget, schedule, materials, subcontractors, and labor.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
Ensure project execution adheres to contract specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
Oversee procurement, scheduling, and coordination of materials and equipment.
Prepare and manage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings.
Support the development of junior team members and field crews.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
In-depth knowledge of TPO, EPDM, PVC, and modified bitumen systems.
Proven ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
Strong understanding of roofing construction workflows and sequencing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or similar project management software preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in commercial roofing project management.
Previous field experience in roofing (superintendent or foreman background a plus).
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
